Open Mic UK; the exciting new national talent competition to search for the UK’s best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who perform either covers or original material. The competition offers the competitors the opportunity to perform live in front of large audiences, generating media attention and exposure.
The competition will be going up and down the UK and coming to a city or town near you to discover acts with the potential to become the next Leona Lewis, Lemar or James Blunt! Competing for the chance to win from the £25,000 in prizes; the winning act will have the opportunity to win a recording contact to release their single.
Register, audition and compete and you will be offered fantastic opportunities to not only develop your performance skills and personal ability, but to expose your talent – whatever genre it may be. The latter stages of the competition provides artists with the opportunity to impress judges and many guests from record labels, agencies and the entertainment industry.
The competition is divided into age categories; Under 18, 18-24 and 25 and over. All types of singers, vocal performers, groups and acoustic singer/songwriters are invited to enter Open Mic UK; the competition seeks to discover an act that has the ability to become a professional recording artist. So if you think you have the talent, it’s open to all, so get on the mic....Open Mic UK 2010. AuditionsOn the day of the audition you will be asked to prepare a performance of up to 2 minutes maximum in front of the professional Judging panel thus allowing live talent and ability to be judged appropriately. The audition can be a song of the contestant’s choice in any style or genre and can be a cover or an original. You will be required to sing accapella if performing a cover. Those with original material may use a backing track or guitar/keyboard (not supplied) to accompany them whether played by themselves or by a backing musician. are coming soon, to book your audition click here now!

and if thats not enough there is also Live and Unsigned which is the largest national music competition for original artists; bands, vocal groups and solo artists. Auditionsyou will be invited to perform a live amplified audition piece. This will be in front of the Live and Unsigned Judging panel, thus allowing live talent and ability to be judged appropriately. If successful you will be invited to perform at the Live Regional Final shows. start in January 2010, so enter now.
